The latest version of Microsoft Windows, Windows 8 is now live and through these days, the whole tech world is getting familiar with Windows 8 and its features. Most interesting feature of Windows 8 is its new User Interface where the major part is replaced by Tiles unlike from the former versions of Windows OS. But it’s a sad fact in Windows 8 that a Windows 7/XP user will surely get confused with the new UI.

In Windows 8, the most familiar Start button and Start Menu are missing in the Operating System. The absence of Start Button and Start Menu is not actually a big problem as the tile features and Champs features are making the UI Rich. Still, most of you may be able to enjoy a Windows OS without a Start Button but there’s no word from Microsoft about bringing the start button or menu. But still, you don’t need to worry about that missing because here we’re telling you some awesome tools for bringing the Start Menu and Start Button back to the OS UI.

Start8

Start8 will be a great companion of you with Windows 8 if you glad to get your Windows 7 like Start Menu in the latest OS. After installing, you won’t think you’re using Windows 8 as the software will make you think that you’re using a Windows 7 with Metro graphics. What has changed in the Start menu is the Start Button logo as the logo in Windows 7 has been replaced by the Windows 8 logo. But unlike from other softwares, the software is NOT FREE and you’ll have to pay for $5 for getting the actual features of Start8. Still, you can test drive the software through their 30 day trial plan. Though the company makes you pay for the software, here’s significant to say that the software is better than the other ones through its superb graphics and accuracy.

Classic Shell

Still you want to use no money for getting the Start Menu, then Classic Shell is for you being a cool tool for bringing a Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000/98 (Really) like start menu into your Windows 8 desktop. All these menus are simply configurable. As mentioned above, the tool may not give you much accuracy or smoothness than that of Start8. Still, it’s a good preference for you if you’re looking for a FREE but powerful tool for bringing start menu back to your desktop.

IOBit StartMenu8

We said that Classic Shell is a best FREE tool for you but we’re taking our word back. Here we go with IOBit StartMenu8 which is an absolutely free but tremendously working tool for bringing back the start menu. It won’t be good as of Start8. Still, it has got such a good interface than of Classic Shell.

This tool is for navigating around your PC but it’s entirely different from the other start menu alternatives. Unlike from copying Microsoft’s own elements on the Start Menu, they’ve used a variety design but still it’s good to use. You can set specific categories for your softwares so that you won’t have to search for more. But needless to say, the tool works well in Windows 8.
