Nexus 4, Nexus 7, Nexus 10 and Android v4.2 ; Have A Look
1Finally the great search and tech giant Google Inc has also put their heavy contribution to the tablet & Smartphone war going on in the tech market. The Tech world was busy for some weeks describing and observing the new devices launched such as Apple’s iPad Mini, Microsoft Surface running on the brand new Windows 8 etc. We have to say that time Android was silent and due to Hurricane Sandy, Google event was sadly postponed to yesterday. Though the firm let their users wait a little time, yesterday was the day of brand new Nexus Tablets and Smartphones as 3 different kind of Android running smart devices were unveiled by the Tech Giant.
The launched devices are Nexus 7 (Revised), Nexus 10, and Nexus 4. All these devices are running on Android v4.2 (Yeah! They’ve launched a new version of OS as well). We know Android Jelly Bean was announced in the Google I/O Event 2012 and the code name was representing the version 4.1. But now, the features have changed but the OS is still dubbed as Android Jelly Bean. So, let’s have a look on all these Smart Android Devices. 3 of Nexus devices are listed on Google Play but not available in India.
Nexus 7
This is the one which has been noticed a lot among these three devices. Nexus 7, a 7 Incher tablet PC manufactured by Google associated with ASUS was unveiled by Google Inc. in the Google I/O Event. The device was running on Android Jelly Bean (v4.1) as well as having an economy price of course.
But what Google has launched yesterday is the revised version of the 7 incher which includes a bunch of improvements and changes. One of the noticeable improvements in revised Nexus 7 is the addition of HSPA+ Connectivity which will help users to get high speed data connections. This HSPA+ Version will be compatible with 200+ GSM Telecom carriers around the globe. There are 16GB and 32GB variants of Nexus 7 which are priced $199 and $249 respectively.
Nexus 10
Nexus 10 can be considered as the big brother of Nexus 7 having some bigger features. The 10 Incher tablet PC is called shareable by Google in their post. The 10.055’’ screen of the brand new tablet offers a screen resolution of 2560*1600 with 300 ppi which is the largest resolution ever used in Tablet PC’s. The tab is also called powerful Google offers a powerful battery included in order to provide 9 hours of video playback as well as a standby time of 500 hours. If those words are to be believed, Nexus 10 is really powerful. All these stamina is supported by a 1.7 GHz Exynos Dual Core Processor. Nexus 10 has a 1.9 MP front facing camera and the device is apt for joining Google Plus Hangouts.
According to Google, the Tablet PC is shareable rather than being powerful. What makes it shareable is the addition of Android v4.2, the new revamped Jelly Bean OS. Making it apt for home use, you’re able to add multiple user accounts to the tab as you do in your PC or Mac. For each and every user accounts, there will be specific features and data as they can access their email accounts, favorite applications, bookmarks, their music, and games as well from their own Home screen of the Android device. Isn’t the feature an interesting one? The 16GB version and 32 GB version are priced at $399 and $499 respectively.
Nexus 4
Here comes the new Smart Mobile Device from the great Google. The Smartphone is manufactured by LG and so called LG Nexus 4 which is running on Android Jelly Bean v4.2. The smart device comes with a Quad Core processor and a display of 4.7 inches (320 ppi). The device supports Wireless Charging so that users don’t need to mess up with wires for charging the Phone. Nexus 4 consists of a powerful 8 MP Camera and it could help users to get maximum of Google Photo Sphere.
The device has used the maximum features of Android 4.2 which is well known for its simplicity and smartness. Photo Sphere has been added to the device so users can capture images with a natural effect as well as capturing and sharing 360 degree photographs with Google+.
Android v4.2 Jelly Bean
We’ve said that all these three devices are using Android v4.2 which has more improvements than the classic Jelly Bean. One of the major improvements is by Google Now, which is a feature launched by Google for integrating daily life with Google Services and to get useful tips such as reminders. Google Now is a little bit improved so that the service can help you in recommending hotels, flights or nearby things where you visit.
And some other features like Gesture Typing, Wireless Display are added to the newer version of OS. Gesture typing allows you to glide your fingers over desired letters instead of tapping over it, Altogether the improvement is integrating the features of Swype keyboard to the default keyboard of Android devices. Wireless display is also a great service since it allows you to share your device’s display with s Miracast-Compatible HD Television.
Google Play
There are some numerous improvements for Google Play as it’s the centralized place for Google Android Device for getting Apps, Movies, Magazines and lots more. Google Play services are now expanded to more countries as well as partnering with Time, InStyle, and Twentieth Century Fox etc in order to provide users a large number of services including TV Shows, Full Movies, current magazines etc. The launch of Google Play in Europe is planned to be on November 12th and the first nations getting the service will be UK, Germany, Italy, France and Spain. As per Google’s official blog post, 20,000+ songs are now available for download from the Google Play.

Along with these additions, it’s sure that all Nexus Devices will be a strong opponent to all other Tablet PC’s in the market including the new ones. And as Google says, all these devices cannot be considered as a Tablet PC or Smartphone since those devices are now very much powerful with Android OS and all other Google Services including our favorites like Google Maps, Voice Recognition (Jelly Bean OS supports offline voice typing), and the newly added Google Now.

I love Google Nexus 4 with 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064..
