Samsung Galaxy S3 Sales Surpass 10 Million in 2 Months
0Samsung’s flagship phone Galaxy S3 has surpassed 10 million sales in less then 2 months of its launch date. The iPhone’s closest competitor has made an impressive start. When the phone was launched in london on 29th May, Samsung’s head of mobile communications JK Shin proudly claimed that the sales would hit 10 million by the end of 29th july, but that seems to be a false claim as there’s still a week left to complete 2 month and the phone has already hit 10 million mark.

When Samsung Galaxy S2 was launched last year, the then flagship phone by Korea Giant broke all record by selling 10 million phones in 5 months, but that seem to be history now.
Speaking to an news channel in Korea, Samsung’s Shin confirmed the news that daily on an average about 190,000 S3 are sold which is above what they expected. Initially Galaxy S3 was only launched in Europe but later it was launched in US and south Asian countries like India.
As on today, Android Ice-Cream Sandwhich powered phone is available in 246 coutries accross 146 carriers making it one of the biggest launch by an telephone company. The device which has features like Face Recognition and a 4.8 inch wide screen has been praised by many gadgets freaks and pundits around the globe, with some stating as “Hot product at the moment”, “Phone of the decade”.

While its competitor, iPhone is gearing up for the launch of its next gen phone which is expected to be a complete redesign after its initial realease in 2007, which revolutionized smartphone market. “The new iPhone” is slated to launch in mid september or october. While the above figure may look pretty cool, for a fact in 3 months 35.1 Million iPhone 4S has been sold this year.
So expect iPhone to bounce bask with some pretty coll features and new updates.
