Google Chrome Arrives To iOS, Chrome Stats
Some Statistic Facts about Chrome: The first chance was for Google Chrome. Some facts about Google Chrome’s stats were announced on yesterday’s event. Senior Vice President of Google Chrome and Apps Sundar Pichai came forward and shared that Google Chrome has now 310 Million active users. And he included about Chrome for Android along with mentioning the growth of Google Chrome which has 2.3 Billion users currently.
Pichai added that Chrome’s pre-fetching techniques is saving 13 years of human lifetime every year. Google demonstrated variety tab syncing abilities of Google Chrome throughout devices using Google Chrome. Needless to say that the growth of Chrome is awesome since its number of Active Users were 160 Billion in 2011.
iOS Welcomes Google Chrome : Some of us may not be able to completely digest the news. Apple and Google are quarrelling at the market part and supporting each other. By the way, Google Chrome OS is coming to Apple’s own iOS. Users can download Chrome from App store for their iPad and iPhone. Chrome for iOS also includes tab syncing and usual syncing features of Google Chrome as seen in Chrome for Android. Think that you need no more description about Google Chrome and its features.
Google Drive For iOS & Chrome OS
Are you a lover of both Apple and Google? So it is good news for you that you will be able to use Google’s Cloud Storage service , Google Drive will be available to be used in iOS Devices. Google has also introduced Google Drive for Chrome OS. This app will help users to save files for offline viewing. And for Chrome OS, Google has included background synchronizing features and very much fast document viewing. All of your documents will be synchronized over all devices.
Google Docs Brings Offline Editing
Google Docs is a great service from Google to give your documents an online appearance. In this I/O Google has bought Offline Editing for Google Docs. It’s damn good because if you are on a airplane, you can edit your Google docs offline and the changes will be saved when you are getting back to Internet. This awesome feature will be available for users from today.
Chromebooks come to Best Buy Stores
Google is ready for a massive distribution of Chromebooks. The tech giant has announced that new Chromebooks will be available in 100 US best buy stores. Surely this will increase the popularity and usage of Chromebooks.
Compute Engine; True Amazon Competitor
Google has announced its Amazon Competitor dubbed as Compute Engine. Analyzing the results, Google claimed that it supports over one million application and 7.5 Billion hits per day. Actually this cloud based service is offering Linux virtualization in a large scale on Google’s Infrastructure.
For low bandwidth applications, compute engine can offer hundreds of thousands of cores; like that Google had demonstrated a genetic related application running on 600,000 Cores. Google added that Institute for Systems Biology moved to Google to Google Compute Engine and they have remarked major improvements. The service is currently in a Beta version.
