Amazon brought an powerful tablet in the market in September 2011 known as Amazon Kindle Fire.Amazon has given a few updates too.The latest one is the 6.2.2 .No sooner did the update was release than the hardworking devs rooted it. All thanks to Jcase of Rootzwiki .He is mainly responsible to Root Amazon Kindle Fire. Burrito Rooting Tool is the tool which has been used to Root Amazon Kindle Fire .Here we have provided the detailed Procedure on how to Root Amazon Kindle Fire on 6.2.2 firmware succesfully.Lets begin with it.

Why Root Amazon Kindle Fire ?

Now, after we Root Amazon Kindle Fire  it helps in getting access to the system files and practically giving you and the apps the control of the whole system.This allows us to be a “Superuser” whereby we get the power to alter  :-
1.Default System apps(clock,calendar,maps etc.)
2.Themes
3.Bootloader
4.Boot images
5.Other special apps
6. Important benefit is that we can backup all the .apk’s(apps) installed

Caution:

Advised to read every step with proper attention and thoroughly.Methods discussed are considered risky and tricky and may brick your device and void warranty. Whatever you do is solely at your own risk, we are not accountable for any damage to your device.You have been warned.

Compatibility:
This only works with the Amazon Kindle fire running 6.2.2 firmware.
To confirm you may go to Settings.

Pre-Requistes:

1.Make sure that the phone is atleast 60% charged.
2. Back up all the phone data(contacts,messages,APN settings)
3.Back up all the images,videos on PC
4.Sync all your contacts with your Gmail account
5. Now,Go to Settings > More > Device > Allow installation of Applications and put it “ON”.

PRocedure:
Step 1 :

Firstly, to begin with download Android SDK from here. this would only on Windows OS.
Then Download the Burrito Root Kindle 1.0 tool to Root Amazon Kindle Fire and then transfer it into the Amazon Kind..

Step 2:

Once you transferred, Open the Burrito Root Tool (apk file) and then install it, then Run it and then Click on the option to “Root”

Step 3:

Now after having done with this process, open the terminal window in Computer and then you need to navigate into the ADB folder by typing in command window “adb root” and press enter

Step 4:

Now You have to Download the superuser zip package .You will get a zip file. Unzip it.

Step 5:

Now connect the Amaon kind to the Computer via USB cable.

Step 6:

Now after having connected, now you need to type certain instructionscommands in the command prompt to Root Amazon Kindle Fire.
Following are those commands :

adb remount
adb push su /system/xbin/su
adb shell chown 0.0 /system/xbin/su
adb shell chmod 06755 /system/xbin/su
adb install com.noshufu.android.su-1.apk
adb reboot

Step 7:

Now , you need to remove the connected the USB cable and again connect it in the next moment so that your command  promp gets opened again.
Download the burrto which is a bin file. Now enter the following commands in the command prompt:

adb push BurritoRoot2.bin /data/local/
adb shell chmod 777 /data/local/BurritoRoot2.bin
adb shell /data/local/BurritoRoot2.bin
adb root
adb shell id

if uid = 0 then continue, if it is not then start over

adb remount
adb push su /system/xbin/su
adb shell chown 0.0 /system/xbin/su
adb shell chmod 06755 /system/xbin/su
adb remount
adb install Superuser.apk (skip this step if its already installed)

 

Congrats, you have successfully completed the process to Root Amazon Kindle Fire.
