Galaxy Y GT-S5360 is one of the most popular phones in the low Range.Admitted, it doesn’t boast of great specs, but its very usefull and interface is smooth making it a great choice for the people having tight budget.Thus it caught the eyes of XDA Devs and now thus procedure to Root Galaxy Y GT-S5360  has been found. Now the Galaxy Y GT-S5360 users can successfully root there device with the detailed procedure given below.

Why to Root Galaxy Y GT-S5360 ?

Now, after we  Root Galaxy Y GT-S5360 ,it helps in getting access to the system files and practically giving you and the apps the control of the whole system.This allows us to be a “Superuser” whereby we get the power to alter  :-

1.Default System apps(clock,calendar,maps etc.)
2.Themes
3.Bootloader
4.Boot images
5.Other special apps
6. Important benefit is that we can backup all the .apk’s(apps) installed

Caution:

Compatibility:
This only works with the Galaxy Y GT-S5360 Model .
To confirm you may go to Settings->About Phone.

Pre-Requistes:
1.Make sure that the phone is atleast 60% charged.
2. Back up all the phone data(contacts,messages,APN settings)
3.Sync all your contacts with your Gmail account
4. Now, enable USB Debugging Mode by going to Settings -> Applications ->Development -> USB Debugging
5.Make sure Samsung drivers are installed.

Procedure:

Step 1:

To begin with we need to first download the Root Galaxy Y GT-S5360  file. Download it from here-> File to Root Galaxy Y GT-S5360

Step 2:

Now transfer this  files in your internal SD ie internal device storage.

Step 3:

Now after doing that, Now switch off your Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and now we need to boot in the CWM recovery .To enter into CWM, press and hold the volume up key + home key simultaneuosly and press the power button until it goes into recovery mode.
Note : In CWM, Volume up and down buttons are used to scroll up and down respectively while the power button/Home button is used to select the option.

Step 4:

Now do the “Wipe data/factory reset” and “Wipe Cache partition” from the main menu and  also “Wipe Dalvik Cache” from the “Advanced Menu”.

Step 5:

Now go to in the menu “install zip from sd card” and then select “choose zip from sdcard” and then select the update.zip file you downloaded(From step 1) and click on yes to install.Thus the process to Root Galaxy Y GT-S5360 has begun.

Step 6:

After the installation ,the process to Root Galaxy Y GT-S5360 is almost done.Now select “reboot system now“ and your phone will reboot.

Step 7:

Now check your app drawer ,”Superuser” app would have been installed.Now Download “Busybox” from here and then install it.!!
