4. Now, enable USB Debugging Mode by going to Settings -> Applications ->Development -> USB Debugging
5.Make sure Samsung drivers are installed.

Procedure to Root AT&T Galaxy S2 SGH i777 :

Step 1:

To Root AT&T Galaxy S2 SGH i777 first begin with the download of Odin .Download Link as follows. “Odin” to Root AT&T Galaxy S2 SGH i777

Step 2:

Now download the Kernel which has CWM .Download Link as follows. CWM kernel or mirror CWM kernel

Step 3:

Now after downloading CF-root unzip the file.Now you will see a .tar file(SGH-I777_ClockworkMod-Recovery_5.0.2.3.tar). Keep that file as it is.Don’t extract it any further.

Step 4:

Now switch off your phone.Now you need to put your phone in “Download Mode”.
Connect AT&T Galaxy S2 SGH i777 to your computer via the micro USB cable. After that, hold down Volume Up + Volume Down + Power button together.
When you see the warning sign, press the Volume Up button and you then you would enter the downloading mode.!!

Now connect your phone into PC and open the Odin package that you had downloaded.
You will see ID:COM section in the upper left corner turn yellow indicating that the device has been successfully connected.

Step 6:

Check the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checkboxes

Now in the Odin, in the PDA section,click on the PDA tab and select the .tar filed you extracted.

Step8:

Now you have set up everything what was required . Verify from the image below if you have done everything right.Offcourse in the PDA section you should have your tar file inserted

Step 9:

Now click on start and the process will commence.In a matter of few seconds,this will install the CWM kernel.You will get a pass message once CWM is installed and it will start rebooting.

Step 10:
