Before we start off our discussion about Galaxy S3, let us brief ourselves about its foundation. It all started with the release of the single core beast Samsung Galaxy S and then there was no looking back since then. Galaxy S managed to become a world wide phenomenon largely eating the shares of Nokia. Moreover,its successor the dual core Samsung Galaxy S2 which was released a year later in May 2011 was no less than its predecessor.S2 was even conferred with the title of the best phone of the year 2011.

So after having enjoyed such success, Samsung surely wanted to repeat the winning formula and thus the Samsung Galaxy S3 comes into picture. This latest offering from Samsung surely gonna blow its predecessor out of the water. Galaxy S3 surely have managed to keep the phone addicts scouring the internet frequently in the vague hope of finding some solid info about the same.

So to begin with ,what do these Rumour Mills tell about its release date?

Korean Giants Samsung initially hinted that the Superphone would be unveiled in the MWC 2012. But later this proved to be a false call and its being speculated that Samsung would hold up a separate special event for the Galaxy S3 Launch in Mid 2012. .And just now, a trustworthy report from Korea says Galaxy S3 would be announced in April 2012 and released soon after.But there is no official confirmation as of yet.As soon as there is any news about it, we will have it covered. Now let us look at some probable specs

Operating System :

Samsung has already started releasing some Dev(test) versions of ICS for the Galaxy S2. Having said that, Google has even released Android 4.03 ICS source code so we can expect that version to be put into the Galaxy S3.

User Interface:

Samsung had  introduced the “Touchwiz 3.0”with Galaxy s, “Touchwiz 4.0” with Galaxy S2. From the news coming from many sources, its quite expected that Galaxy S3 will come with a “Touchwiz 5.0”

Display:

Its been rumoured that Galaxy S3  will flaunt a 4.8 inch Magnificent Super  Amoled HD (1080p resolution )Diplay with a Ceramic Chasis.This surely can put any Smartphone to shame !!! Moreover,It would be 7mm thick only. Again, There were leaked images on the internet showing Galaxy S3 with a Flexible Display (FOLED technology) though this seems to be highly unlikely

Processor:

It is believed that Galaxy S3 would sport a quad core processor , it would be having a Samsung Exynos 4212 processor clocked at 1.5 Ghz which is supposed to be a 32nm chip with 50 percent greater graphics boost and 30 percent less power consumption than its previous chip, the Exynos 4410 which featured in the Samsung Galaxy S2.Samsung has another powerful processor Exynos 5520 under its belt but however it isn’t expected to go into production until late this summer so there are slim chances of this being included in Galaxy S3. Some rumour mongers even said that there could be Dual cores clocked at 2Ghz stuffed into the Galaxy S3.!!!

GPU:

For Galaxy S3, Mali T604 Quadcore GPU is on the cards .It produces 5x more power than its previous version!!

Camera:

It is highly expected that Galaxy S3 will flaunt a 12MP Rear Camera with a back-lit CMOS sensor.If this works out , It will be the best Smartphone camera ever. On the video recording front, Galaxy S3 shooter is expected to shoot 1080p HD video at a whopping 60fps .

RAM and Internal storage:

Galaxy S3 may feature a 1.5GB RAM. And The onboard storage of Galaxy S3 is rumoured to be 16Gb with a SD card slot expandable to 64GB

4G LTE : Galaxy S3 would have the 4G LTE support.

Battery:

With the Galaxy S2 having encountered problems with the battery life,Samsung is leaving no stone unturned to stuff a powerful battery in Galaxy S3 which would last a day with moderate to heavy use. It is expected to pack a 2250mAh battery.

To sum it up,it would be a worthy successor to the Galaxy S2 . Thus Galaxy S3 currently an enigma ,but once revealed its sure to set a storm in the Mobile world.!!
