This is the 200^th post on our blog HFG.So to celebrate the occasion I thought of sharing a nice little tutorial which would help you in Creating Nokia APP of your blog and get it approved on Official Nokia App Store.

Though lately nokia has seen a downfall in there sales,but I still believe that Nokia has the best Quality and it is worth every peny.With the advent of android,nokia has been hit hard but with some latest update on symbian like Anna and Belle, it is trying to get back to its original position i.e 1^st J

Well getting to the point,Blog is the best way to share things online in which you are expert at.Though people normally visit blog from Desktop or PC only but because of smartphone’s and touch screens, People nowadays prefer clicking on app and getting the updates about a particular blog.Ceating a application can be a pretty daunting work for some and pretty easy for many{Including me}.SO for this very reason I am writing this tutorial for the people who think creating app and getting it approved is daunting and difficult.

So here’ goes the steps for creating your first Nokia APP.

Step 1}First off all you would need to go to this site for Creating Nokia APP

Step 2}Then click on Get started,you would be then redirected to following page,in this page you have the option to create app using

 

->Your Blog App for Nokia Phones with RSS FEED{Preffered way}

->From a subdomain of wordpress.com

->From a Blogger Blog

->From a Tumblr Blog

->From Youtube Channel

->From a Facebook Page

->And many others option’s available

In this tutorial we are going to USE only RSS feed,though you can also try other option.

Now just enter your website/blog’s detail in the RSS Feed Field and click on next button

Step 3}Once you have clicked on the Next Button,you would be asked to choose feeds from Multiple option, only if you are using wordpress platform.Select the appropriate option and click next

Important Note:Make sure that your blog’s feed are working and have been updated recently only.

Step 4}Now would be able to see a Demo layout of your app!

Step 5}Once you are able to see your demo layout,this means that you are good enough to go for next step.In the Next step you can change the layout of your app.Nokia Allows 3 different layout’s, you can use any of them and click next, Though personally I would suggest that you keep the default layout only as it looks clean and neat.

Step 6}In the Next Step you can upload your Logo and Your Icon for the app.You can also choose the application name is this step.

Note:The image size for Icon should be atleast 80X80 Pixel and 360X60 for Logo.

Once you have uploaded the Icon and logo and even chenged The application name click on next step.

Step 7}In the next page you would be asked to register for a account at Nokia APP wizard,check mark all box and proceed to next step.In the next step you would be provided a form to regiter yourself and your app with Nokia.Fill the form with appropriate details and proceed further.

Step 8}In this Page you would be asked to input Your Id for mobile advertising, Nokia Currently support Millenia Media and Mpression.You can signup with then and add your id in the given field.I have skipped this step as I don’t want  adverts on my Nokia App.

Step 9}In this step you can decide on the Price of your app,I have kept it as free.You can also add the discription,keywords and Publisher Icon.
Make sure that you add keywords which people search and get your app first.After you have added all the necessary details proceed to the nextstep.

Step 10}In the next step,you would be asked to verify your account using your email address that you have entered while registering.

Once you have Confirmed,you can submit you app to the official Depostitory of Nokia. Before that you can review/edit you app for the last time.

Final Step}Once you have submitted your app,you would be given an ID for that particular app.

 

In case you need to edit something or you forgot to add something,you can also cancel your submission and edit the app once again.

Now wait for over a week for you app to get the confirmation.
that’s It! You have created your first Nokia Application.

Final Words:Though I personally choosed Free as the app price because I don’t want my readers to pay for what they read on my blog.Once your blog gets famous you can then add Ad’s Id as an when required.
