Installing a Custom Firmware (Symbian Anna) on your Nokia .

You might surely have come in a situation when you are bored with your OS, and wish to try something new, but didn’t want to throw your current handset. This can be achieved using CFW

So firstly what is custom firmware (CFW) ??

A custom firmware is the modified version of the original operating system of a mobile phone.

It increases the features of the phone and removes unnecessary things.

Here are the softwares which you will need to install a CFW on your Nokia 5230.

CFW (Symbian Anna v7 ) for Nokia 5230—-/ Download.

One  USB and of course your Nokia 5230.

Note—Make sure that the custom firmware’s version is greater than your nokia’s firmware .

As in here my mobile’s firware version is () which is less than CFW version ().

Type*#0000# and you will get to know.

So here are the steps to install a CFW Symbian Anna v7 on your Nokia 5230

Step 1—first  install nokia pc suite/ovi suite on your windows.

Step2—after installing nokia pc suite open computer/local disk(c)/programfiles/Nokia/phoenix/products and copy your CFW here in products.

Changing firmware is too risky . So please take care. I am saying this because I love my phone very much. :)

Dude, You made a step wrong. While flashing, CRT 308 option should be unticked ! Never use it to brick up your phone or else it will cause serious problems. It is not meant to be ticked for flashing, and it’s not necessary to set phone mode as Normal ;)

And the Last warning is never shown. God knows what you did that it’s showing up there !

Mention not bro ! I said so coz I’m a pro at flashing symbian phones and have wrote many articles/tutorials regarding this. So I spotted the mistake in a glance.

And if someone will not commit any mistake then how will they learn ! Esp. For newbies :)

      Hello Mr. Lunatic,

Firmwares updates for any version doesn’t bring support for NFC. For that the NFC chip must have been there for your phone which after that you can flash with any custom firmware to enable it :)

The most important thing to consider in installing custom cabinet is the wood. We need to have the right choices of wood for our cabinets to look better and sturdier that will last a long time. We all know the prices of quality woods are, and we can save a lot of money if we install them on our own instead of paying a handyman to do it.
