Android is the next big thing in the field of IT. It is the most popular operating system after Symbian. This OS is developed, maintained and promoted by internet search giant Google. The main reason that can be attributed to the popularity of Android is its ability to support the development of various apps.

Micromax Andro

This is the cheapest android that is available in India. The following are the features of this phone: 2.8 inches TFT resistive touch screen which is the only downside but given at the price tag of Rs. 6699 you cannot ask for more. Phone offers a 3.15 Mega pixel camera which has a decent image quality. The phone is loaded with Android 2.1 and runs on 600 MHz processor. Micromax Andro is a 3G enabled android device with Wi-Fi access. It also has Gravity sensor and Accelerometer.

This phone has more or less same features as compared to Andro but here are some other specs that you would like to see. For instance beside being slightly more expensive than andro is has a 416 MHz processor which is quite slow as compared to Andro 600Mhz processor. One thing which is quite disappointing is that it runs on Android 1.5 and it is not upgradable to latest versions of Android. This Phone also offers GPRS, EDGE, 3G, HSUPA, HSDPA and Bluetooth along with GPS with A-GPS Support. At a price tag of Rs. 6300 we advise you to think again before buying it as the Andro looks better buying option.

Android 2.2 that has all the standard functionalities which are required with a 2.8 inch resistive touch screen and ARM11 600 MHz processor along with 256 MB RAM and 512 MB Flash. Phone has 200 MB internal memory but has external memory support up to 32 GB. Phone has a 3.2 megapixel camera. Phone has Bluetooth and it is Wi-Fi enabled along with GPRS/EDGE. You can buy this phone for a price tag of rs. 7999.

Huawei Ideos U8150

With ARM 11 528 MHz processor fitted on a Qualcomm chipset along with Android 2.2 this phone is similar to above handsets. It has a 3.15 mega pixel camera with facility of geo tagging. Phone has 200 MB internal memory and external expandable up to 32 GB. Phone comes with 256 MB RAM and 512 MB Flash ROM. At a price tag of Rs. 7800 you should surely go for Micromax Andro A60.

Samsung Galaxy 5 I5503

Phone has a 2.8 inch TFT capacitive touch screen with a ARM11 600 MHz processor. Phone comes with Android 2.1 that is upgradable to 2.2. Phone has a 2 Mega Pixel camera that is capable of geo tagging. It has 170 MB internal memory and external memory is upgradable to 16 GB. With other features such as GPRS, EDGE, 3G etc it is surely an attractive handset. But think again company has price the mobile at Rs. 8869 which is quite high as compare to its competitor.

Conclusion: According to us we would recommend you to go with Micromax Andro as it offers all the features at the cheapest price.
