Windows Phone 7 Marketplace growing faster than Android grew.

Windows phone7 market place is growing with an astounding speed, it was faster than iOS app store when reaching 25,000 mark, but slowed a little when reaching mark of 30,000 but still remained faster than android market when android reached 30,000 mark.

Windows phone 7 Market place app’s graph shows mountain of competition in apps market.

30000 apps windows phone marketplace Windows Phone 7 Marketplace growing faster than Android grew.

The total number of apps at the moment in the windows phone marketplace is  30,039 according to the WindowsPhone Applist.Currently there are 47 % Free Apps with around 20 % paid apps with Trial available and 33 % pure paid apps(without Trial ).

The research also shows that WP7 users download more games than android or iOS users. If we have a look at the category wise count, Games populating the 17 % of  applications  while the other dominant categories being Ebooks ,news and weather.

With Mango coming up in a matter of few days and games lined up for release for the Xbox Live Flagship we might see another landmark hit the marketplace soon with next time hopefully being faster than the App Store.

I think that I will have to add a new category under mobile geeks now, because

It seems we have one more smartphone app market coming in view, Windows phone 7 marketplace

  • Backing it Up

As we become more digital our memories become digital too. All our images, files and music are saved on our PC and in most cases on our PC only. Users who are tech oriented may have back their files up to an external hard drive which is good but it doesn't have the benefits of an online backup service. Any user can take advantage of such a service assuring the that their sensitive information is never lost.
